I have good news. The fluid levels continue to show improvement in baby A at 11 cm and baby B was highest ever 6.5cm. (5weeks ago they were at 14cm and ~3 cm and normal is 2-8cm) Surgery is recommended at less than 2 cm. Both twins measurements look fantastic ( 1 lbs 13 oz-70% and 1 lbs 12 oz 66%),
They told me that if I did not have any prior history that I would be considered a normal pregnancy.I also do not have such stringent exercise precautions. I am not going to go out and run but I am free to walk around more and enjoy the outdoors. My plan for exercise is to elevate my treadmill to 24% grade and walk.
Yeah!!
I will never know if the changes I implemented helped so far but just in case this helps someone else this is what I am doing:
Had my blood levels checked and found out that I my body really was deficient in protein. I was making an extra effort to consume more protein but that was not enough. After researching TTTS there was some science out there that showed that drinking Ensure protein shakes 3 x day helped some women with TTTS. I knew this was what i was going to do but I did not like the high sugar content of those shakes and the rest of the ingredients. Instead I purchased Dr Mercola's protein powder.
Mercola Pure Power Protein: is a premium product designed to boost your overall health and fitness levels. It contains a unique blend of high-quality whey protein, chia seeds, and probiotics to give you an edge over the competition or if you're more demanding about enhancing your overall health.
It is organic and made for athletes and is very low sugar. This sounded perfect to me. In a few weeks I started to feel more energetic and my fluid levels dropped too.
Since I am feeling so good, I plan to hike up toward the 10000ft mountain my husband and I got married on 14 years ago this weekend. I doubt I will hike the entire 14 miles but I will likely hike up an hour, rest and then hike down again. I am so happy to be able to exercise some again :)
The twins are super active. Eon had his hand on my belly and he asked "was that Baby A?" Eon kisses or hugs my belly almost everyday too and asks me if the twins will like his toys. He is excited and so are Ray and I!
Thanks for all your support and helpful comments.
